People learned about Sustainable renewable energy while having laughs at edu-fun events in Burnaby (greater Vancouver), BC, Canada. Solar and wind powered devices were actually in action.

Enjoy these photos of Mayor Corrigan in Vancity's new branch opening and Kensington Community Festival by a Burnaby (Vancouver 'burb) association, the world's first licensed vehicle that uses discarded batteries zooming around the SFU mountain roads.

Windfarms? The Roadshow demonstrated a working model windfarm that generates electricity at only 5KPH wind speeds, with three 'bent propeller' blades that do the work of six blades. Kids from 6 to 106 enjoyed experimenting with the turbines that charged electric cars directly. The model electric race cars stored energy with a super-capacitor instead of batteries.

This was the first pubic demonstration of a working model windfarm in Canada!
